A total of 157 third-year Psychology students of Batch 2027 participated in their 5th Pinning and Lamp Lighting Ceremony held on April 14, 2026, at the Urdaneta Cultural and Sports Complex.
With the theme “Transcending the Legacy: A Culture of Excellence Beyond Boundaries,” the ceremony marked the students’ commitment to academic excellence and personal growth as they prepare for future professional roles in the field of psychology.
The program formally opened with welcome remarks from Dr. Nhorly U. Domenden. This was followed by an inspirational message from Dr. Josephine S. Lambinicio, who encouraged students to pursue and fulfill their dreams. Atty. Michael Henry C. Sevilleja also delivered a message, offering motivation as students continue their academic journey.
The guest of honor and speaker, Lordy Angelo C. Santos, also known as “Tito Mong Psychologist,” highlighted the responsibilities of Psychology students in their future careers. He emphasized the importance of the profession through the acronym “P.S.Y.,” stating, “These letters stand for our Profession, the Society, and most importantly, You.”
The ceremony symbolized both recognition of academic progress and readiness to face real-world challenges as the students move closer to becoming future psychometricians and psychologists.
