Urdaneta City University officially began its 2nd annual employees’ sportsfest with a parade on March 6, at the University Gymnasium.
The event theme "GAD Unity in Motion: Inclusive Sports and Wellness for UCU Employees Year 2" aims to promote camaraderie and well-being among staff.
Dr. Ryan Jayson V. Delos Reyes, Dean of the College of Teacher Education (CTE), emphasized the importance of the gathering's deeper purpose.
"This celebration and sports are not about winning games, but about uniting the UCU community as one family, strengthening bonds, and upholding values like discipline, and mutual respect that extend beyond work and learning," he said.
Dr. Eleuterio SC. Sison, UCU Personnel Association (UCUPA) President reminded employees to participate and engage with the event.
"I encourage employee to play, player man o hindi, you need to support this event. I advice everyone na bigyan din natin ng kasiyahan ang ating mga sarili," said Sison.
The 2nd annual UCU employees’ sportsfest is set to bring the community closer together, fostering shared joy and core values that enrich both work and life.
