The Psychology Department under the College of Human Sciences held the program as part of Psychology Week 2025.
In front of BS Psychology students, the newly licensed psychometricians also shared their journeys and offered advice to aspiring board takers.
“Future psychometricians, kapag may instructor po kayo na feeling n’yo pinapahirapan kayo, worth it po ’yon kapag nasa review season na kayo. Maalala n’yo talaga ’yong mga sinasabi nila sa inyo,” said Danica S. Lopez, RPm.
Meanwhile, Manisha F. Pal, RPm, a Psychology instructor and a newly licensed psychometrician, encouraged students to continue striving despite challenges.
“Kaya sa inyo na susunod na kukuha ng exam, mahalagang makinig, mag-aral, at higit sa lahat, magbasa. Hindi kayo ipapahiya ng kaalaman na makukuha ninyo sa pagbabasa. Normal lang na kabahan, pero huwag ninyong hayaan na iyon ang magtakda ng limitasyon ninyo,” she said.
Guest of honor and speaker Dr. Benny S. Soliman reminded the board passers of their vital role in promoting mental health in society.
“Remember that being a registered psychometrician is more than just holding a license. It is a commitment—to use your knowledge, empathy, and skills to uplift others, especially now that our country is facing a shortage of mental health professionals. Our country needs you, future mental health professionals—your compassion, competence, and courage—to make mental health more accessible to all Filipinos, from schools to workplaces, from the cities to the farthest barangays,” Soliman said.
The department also honored its first-ever topnotcher, Angel Mae M. Layos, CHRA, RPm, who secured 7th place in the September 2025 Board Licensure Examination for Psychometricians.
According to the Professional Regulation Commission results released on October 2, 2025, Urdaneta City University produced 55 new psychometricians, achieving a 76.39% institutional passing rate.
