UCU Knights Reborn (UKRe) men’s volleyball team ended their LCUAA run with a hard-fought four-set loss to City College of Tagaytay Wild Boars, 21–25, 23–25, 26–24, 24–26, on October 24.
Coming off a tough loss to the defending champions yesterday, the Knights were unable to bounce back in their battle for third place against the Wild Boars.
Inconsistent reception disrupted the Knights’ setups and limited their offensive patterns.
The Knights took the third set, but CCT overturned UCU’s leads with timely points to regain control of the match.
The Knights mounted a late surge in the fourth, but CCT drew level at 23–23 and closed out the match to secure the podium finish.
Despite the loss, the Knights completed an undefeated elimination round and pushed the defending champions, City College of El Salvador, to their limits in the semifinals.
